It looks like your blinds are working pretty well in insulating your home! And the blinds you chose perfectly matched the living room's mood. Those insulated blinds will keep you warm during winters and cool during summers. Now that’s a convenience! Cheers! :)

Using a thermo-imager camera to see if the insulation in your home is effective or not – very crafty! That kind of image-capture technology can be used to determine if your home's performance is up to standards; it can also locate leaks and moisture intrusion. Yes, Roxie, that's convenience at its finest. :)

Great presentation of the insulation value of the thermo blinds!
ReplyDeleteThis is just an observation but if the wall is R70 and the windows are probably R5 at best (even if triple pane)+ blind value of R2 (-/+ ?) is there really only a temperature difference of only .5 deg for adding an additional R60-65 worth of insulation in the walls...? Now I assume the thermo imaging pictures where not taken when it was -20deg C outside so this may have something to do with it but it does make one think ...
Wishing you the best
Kind regards,
Jeremie
